Lee Hysan Concert Hall
The Lee Hysan Concert Hall is the Music Department's main performance venue. Its acoustics are considered among the finest in Asia.
With the generous donation of the Lee Hysan Foundation, the 269-seat Lee Hysan Concert Hall, located at the lower ground floor of the Esther Lee Building, was completed in spring 2001. Designed by the renowned architect Dr. Rocco Yim with Mr. Joseph Myers as acoustic consultant, the Lee Hysan Concert Hall is ideal for chamber orchestra, solo recitals and choirs. On stage, there is a pipe organ built by Mr. Philipp Klais, and two Steinway grand pianos (model D and model B). Other facilities include two green rooms and a recording room.
