The 1st Hong Kong and Macau Young Scholars Forum on Buddhist Studies
The Center for the Study of Humanistic Buddhism is now co-organising the 1st Hong Kong and Macau Young Scholars Forum on Buddhist Studies with the Philosophy and religious studies Program in University of Macau and Macao Association of Chinese Religious and Cultural Study. With a theme of “The Transformations of Buddhism in History: From Seclusion Buddhism to Humanistic Buddhism,” this forum is aiming to advocate the studies of Humanistic Buddhism and to incubate the elites in Buddhist studies. Also, we hope to take this opportunity to establish a platfrom to enhance communication and share views among the young Buddhist scholars in Hong Kong and Macau. We cordially invite you to present your research, exchange views, and discuss the future of Buddhism in this forum.
In this forum, several distinguished Buddhist scholars will be invited to comment on your paper. Based on this opportunity, we are intend to build up a long-term academic exchange between the youth and the famous scholars. Your active particaption will be the highlight in the history of Buddhist researches in Hong Kong and Macau. We eagerly look forward to welcoming you to this forum!

* Participants are encouraged to present research related to Chinese Buddhism and Humanistic Buddhism
Requirements
- All the young scholars who are currently working or studying in Hong Kong or Macau are welcomed, with no limitation of major.
- Participants are required to submit a thesis or a long summary of your research in Chinese traditional characters with a length of 4,000 to 5,000 words. In order to facilitate the discussion, all papers submitted should be concise and comprehensive.
