簡介

彭教授於北京大學取得了學士和碩士學位,隨後前往美國普林斯頓大學獲得了碩士與博士學位。在加入香港中文大學之前,彭教授曾任教於美國佩斯大學(2017)和明尼蘇達大學(2018-2019)。彭教授的研究主要集中於古代東亞藝術、考古以及視覺/物質文化。他的第一部專書Metalworking in Bronze Age China: The Lost-Wax Process(Cambria Press, 2020)在學術界獲得廣泛好評。目前,他的第二本專書Origins: Copper and Bronze Metallurgy in Early China(原題Bronze Casting in Early China, Amsterdam University Press)已成功通過匿名評審,即將出版。彭教授還致力於策劃展覽,近期帶領團隊主辦華夏早期帶鈎展,並主編其雙語研究圖錄《霜雪明金玄鈎沉: 德能堂藏華夏早期帶鈎》(英文標題:Cast for Dignity: Early Chinese Belt Hooks from the De-Neng-Tang Collection;香港中文大學文物館,2023年),均獲熱烈反響。
