Architectural heritage has always been an indispensable form of cultural assets for mankind. It embodies both tangible and intangible manifestations of our culture in the built environment. But how much do we know about the historical and cultural significance of the architectural heritage in our own city?
This course will take you on an investigative journey to look at a number of significant architectural heritage sites in Hong Kong, ranging from stand-alone monuments, vernacular buildings and edifices at street level, to cultural landscapes and historic urban landscapes at district level, as well as how the conservation and revitalization efforts of such are relevant and applicable to cultural management.
Before it is too late, come join us on this journey to recollect collective memories and rediscover cultural identities for our beloved city, whose memory is rapidly fading.
