簡介
彭教授於北京大學取得了學士和碩士學位，隨後前往美國普林斯頓大學獲得了碩士與博士學位。在加入香港中文大學之前，彭教授曾任教於美國佩斯大學（2017）和明尼蘇達大學（2018-2019）。彭教授的研究主要集中於古代東亞藝術、考古以及視覺/物質文化。他的第一部專書Metalworking in Bronze Age China: The Lost-Wax Process（Cambria Press, 2020）在學術界獲得廣泛好評。目前，他的第二本專書Origins: Copper and Bronze Metallurgy in Early China（原題Bronze Casting in Early China, Amsterdam University Press）已成功通過匿名評審，即將出版。彭教授還致力於策劃展覽，近期帶領團隊主辦華夏早期帶鈎展，並主編其雙語研究圖錄《霜雪明金玄鈎沉: 德能堂藏華夏早期帶鈎》（英文標題：Cast for Dignity: Early Chinese Belt Hooks from the De-Neng-Tang Collection；香港中文大學文物館，2023年），均獲熱烈反響。
