CUHK Artist-in-Residence
The Chinese University of Hong Kong has a long tradition of hosting and supporting creative artists through various programmes at the College, Faculty, and Department levels. In 2023, with assistance from the Yale-China Association, CUHK invited the American photographer Lois Conner and established the CUHK Artist-in-Residence Programme, the first such programme to be centrally funded by the University. The Faculty of Arts takes pride in providing administrative support to make this programme a truly exciting and engaging part of campus life for the university community.
Every school year, the CUHK Artist-in-Residence Programme will host a distinguished artist, who can be a poet, an architect, a composer, a filmmaker, or a visual artist. By organizing a series of events on campus, the programme will present the artist’s work publicly and, through meaningful interactions, further enrich the cultural and artistic experiences of our students and staff.
For further information on the programme, please contact arts@cuhk.edu.hk. The Programme Committee welcomes nominations of artists to be considered.
