The Faculty of Arts at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK Arts) extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the "Dialogue with the Faculty of Arts Students," organised by the Alumni Affairs Office under the Distinguished Alumni-in-Residence Programme 2024 and co-organised by the Faculty on October 17, 2024. The event was warmly received by over 100 guests, including CUHK members and the public.
We were honoured to welcome Dr. Louis Ng, Director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum as our special guest. Joining us were Faculty Dean, Professor Max Tang, Associate Dean (Publicity and Outreach), Professor Wong Nim Yan, Ms. Eleanor Hui, Director of the Alumni Affairs Office, as well as Professor Isaac Leung and Professor Benny Lim from the BA Programme in Cultural Management and MA Programme in Cultural Management respectively.
During this engaging evening, our Arts representatives, recent graduate Warner Wong (2024/NA/History), students Lauren Chan (Year 3, BA in Cultural Management) and Whitney Leung (Year 2, MA in Cultural Management), joined Dr. Ng and Professor Wong a meaningful dialogue. They discussed such as further studies, career planning and career prospects in the arts industry in Hong Kong and Greater China.
As a seasoned curator and art administrator, Dr. Ng shared exceptional career stories. He encouraged students and alumni to be innovative, maintain a global vision, stay passionate, and embrace lifelong learning to thrive in today’s fast-changing world.
The Faculty of Arts thanks everyone for their active participation in making this evening wonderful. Please stay tuned with us for more upcoming events.
