The CUHK Faculty of Arts hosted the Dean’s List Presentation Ceremony 2023-2024 on Saturday, 22 March 2025. This memorable event brought together over 400 participants, including recipients, their families and friends, to celebrate and honour outstanding academic achievements.
Professor Max Xiaobing Tang, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, began the ceremony with a heartfelt welcome address, expressing gratitude to faculty members, students, and guests for their presence. He congratulated the recipients for their remarkable accomplishments and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence by contributing meaningfully to society and creating impact in their respective fields.
The ceremony was also enriched by inspiring reflections from two student representatives. Mr. Leung Chun Tat, a graduate of the MA in Anthropology programme, shared how his studies provided him with a refreshing perspective on the world through an anthropological lens, deepening his appreciation for humanistic values. Cindy Lee, a Year 4 undergraduate student majoring in Chinese Language and Literature, emphasized the importance of humanistic values and urged her peers to foster a more empathetic and understanding society.
The Faculty extends its warmest congratulations to all recipients and expresses sincere thanks to everyone who attended the ceremony. We remain committed to nurturing young generations to become scholars and leaders in the humanities, carrying forward the spirit of academic excellence and humanistic values.
