With the generous donations from eminent organizations and members of the community, the University, Colleges, Faculties and Departments offer a number of scholarships, prizes and awards. These scholarships and awards are presented to students who have demonstrated academic excellence and outstanding performance in other areas, such as creativity, community services and leadership. Some of them are exclusively offered to the students in the Faculty of Arts. Many students of the Faculty have been awarded prestigious accolades such as the Rhodes Scholarship, the Esther Yewpick Lee Millennium Scholarship, the HSBC Hong Kong Scholarship, along with various other distinguished prizes and honors.

Quota: Subject to the funding available in each year, 18 students were awarded in 2024 Entry
Amount: HK$42,100/ HK$21,050 (for local students); HK$72,500 (for non-local students)
Students who meet the minimum academic requirements listed below will be eligible for nomination:
• HKDSE - Total score of 29 based on the best 5 subjects^ (Only eligible for students admitted from JUPAS)
• GCE A-Level - 1A* 2A
• IB Diploma - 38 (out of 45)
• SAT/ACT - Total score of 2000 (out of 2400) or Redesigned SAT score of 1350 or total ACT score of 30 and at least 700 each in two SAT subject tests / at least 4 each in two AP subject tests
• Malaysia UEC / STPM - UEC: 5(A1) 3(A2) STPM: 1A 3B
• Taiwan GSAT - 55 out of 60 for the Best 4 subjects including English
^ A total score of 29 is equivalent to an average of 5* in all the best 5 subjects, under the score conversion scale Level 5**=8.5, Level 5*=7, Level 5=5.5, Level 4=4, Level 3=3 and so on.
For those qualifications not covered in the list, they will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

HSBC Greater Bay Area (Hong Kong) Scholarship is offered to encourage Hong Kong students to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge that will help them become competitive, confident, and employable as they pursue a successful and rewarding career in Greater Bay Area (GBA). Local full-time undergraduate students with a minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or stand within top 15% of class in the first term of 2024/25 and to be committed to pursuing employment, entrepreneurship or advanced academic opportunities in GBA, will be eligible to apply for this scholarship.
