The Centre for China Studies (CCS) of Faculty of Arts, CUHK successfully hosted two significant events on Asia-Europe development in mid-May 2024.
On May 16-18, 2024, CCS hosted the 1st International Symposium on Asia-Europe Development: "Asia in Flux: Network Power, New Regionalism, and Global Development". Over 20 scholars from around the world joined the symposium, presenting a series of original research papers, addressing the trends and changes in Asia regionalisation through trade and production regimes, financial flows, and sociocultural networks.
Jointly presented by CCS and the Institute for International Affairs at CUHK (Shenzhen), “The Greater Bay Area (GBA) Asia-Europe Dialogue 2024” was also concluded successfully on May 16, 2024. Leading scholars and policy experts in the field address the issues such as China-ASEAN relations and China-Europe relations, the role of Hong Kong and GBA in promoting connectivity and cooperation between China and other countries in Asia and Europe.
