For September 2025 admission, the MA in Anthropology programme will be open for application in September 2024, and the application deadlines are:
1st round: 30 September 2024
2nd round: 31 October 2024
3rd round: 30 November 2024
4th round: 31 December 2024
5th round: 31 January 2025
Applications will be processed on a rolling basis from October 2024 until all places have been filled. Therefore, early applications are strongly encouraged. Applications submitted after 31 December 2024 may be considered, subject to availability of places.
The tuition fee (pending university approval) is HK$153,000 per annum (full-time); HK$76,500 per annum (part-time).
Applicants are required to submit the application via the Graduate School Online Application System, and mail the supporting documents to our Division.

The programme is intended for intelligent students with university degrees and/or work experience who are eager to study anthropology.
Candidates should meet all Graduate School qualification criteria such as a bachelor’s degrees with second degree honors (lower) or better, and the English language requirements. In unusual cases, students with lower grades may be considered for the programme, but they must offer a justification in their application.
Past academic performance, work experience, references, motivation and language ability will all be considered in the admission decision.

Application results will be posted on the homepage of the Graduate School from mid-November 2024 to mid-March 2025. Successful applications, in normal case, will receive the offer letter latest by the end of May. Applicants will not be informed separately if their applications are not successful.
