Living in China for a long time and studied in the US for about 5 years. In my master program I conducted research on Chinese online communities, interrogating the socialization processes, system of jargons and symbols, the construction/deconstruction of collective identity, and the concept of humor and struggle.
I entered the Ph.D. program at CUHK in 2023 and currently I am continuing working on Chinese online discourses, the culture/subculture of youth, and the commentary they generate.
