My areas of interest are Science and Technology Studies (STS), environmental anthropology, waste studies, social activism, social movement, labor studies. And geographical areas of research is Mainland China.

Currently I am working on my Ph. D. dissertation which examines the anti-incineration movements in contemporary China.  Employing approaches developed in Science and Technology Studies, I explore the cultural logics underlying the controversy of waste incineration technology.
