As an ethnographical documentarian, I have always been inspired by individuals and communities bending together to confront life’s struggle. I have filmed and studied a group of homeless people who fought and protested against the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, as well as rural social workers striving to empower left-behinded women in the countryside of China.
My Master’s degree in Anthropology from CUHK (2021-2023) broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of the root towards my personal pursuit. This has led to my current research in local archaeology, focusing on South China prehistory. By examining material culture at various sites on Lamma Island, Hong Kong, I aim to reconstruct the economic and political landscape of the Neolithic period in my tiny hometown.
