My research interest is on aging, self-presentation and self-making, body, care, well-being, morality and ordinary ethics.
I’m currently working on a project about retirees’ amenity-driven migration in China. The phenomenon of “snowbirds” is not unique to China, but the complexity of Chinese society’s historical and cultural particularities compels me to ask the question of how elders make sense of their choices and strive to reach a good life in everyday lives.
