TAO Shuhui graduated with a B.A. degree from China Academy of Art and obtained her M.F.A. degree and Ph.D. degree from the Department of Fine Arts, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She majored in Chinese Calligraphy and Seal Carving during her B.A. and M.F.A studies, and specialized in History of Chinese Art during her Ph.D. training. She taught in the Department of Chinese Calligraphy, Beijing Normal University before joining the Department of Fine Arts, CUHK in 2020. She currently teaches studio courses on Chinese calligraphy and seal carving. Her research focuses on the history of Chinese calligraphy and seal carving, especially on post-Yuan calligraphy and seal carving.
