Tso Cheuk Yim, Harrison, apart from teaching art, is a Chinese calligrapher and seal carving artist. He was born in Hong Kong and earned a Master of Arts Degree in 2021 and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts (First Class Honors) in 2019 from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His artwork focuses on finding interesting and playful ways in presenting artworks through traditional medium. In addition, he also aims to explore in his artworks his own reflection and that of the pop culture of the society.
During his undergraduate course, Harrison was on the Dean’s List of the Faculty of Arts and the Head’s List of New Asia College for four consecutive years. His artworks received a number of awards, including Professor Tseng K’e-tuen Chinese Poetry & Calligraphy Award, Ting Yen Yung Creative Award, Van I-Pong Traditional Chinese Painting Creative Award, Y.S. Hui Fine Arts Award and CUHK Convocation Outstanding Services and Creativity Student Award.
Harrison participated in various local and overseas exhibitions, including “Ink Asia”, “Celebrating Our 40 years!” by Sotheby’s Hong Kong, Young Voices 2021 (Taiwan), His artworks were collected by University Museum and Art Gallery at The University of Hong Kong and also by collectors locally and overseas.
