Prof. XU Xiaodong (1968 – 2024)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Professor Xu Xiaodong, Associate Director of the Art Museum and Associate Professor (by courtesy) of the Department of Fine Arts, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, on 19 January 2024, at the age of 56. The Department mourns the loss of Professor Xu.
Professor Xu obtained her MPhil and PhD in History of Chinese Art from the Department of Fine Arts in 2001 and 2005 respectively. She became Associate Professor (by courtesy) at the Department in 2013.
The Department members will forever cherish Professor Xu’s contributions to Department of Fine Arts and extend our deepest condolences to her family.
