The core of this research and practice focuses on the sense of absence arising from the observer's perception of external objects to illuminate the obscure space behind the centre of society: the neglected, silent and unknown parts beyond the 'visible forces'. Can the sense of absence be regarded as a hidden phenomenon that shapes the reality of contemporary society and human subjectivity? The research will reiterate the subversive and radical nature, as well as the shackles of absence and explore how society constructs and unites absence through everyday objects. Furthermore, it examines how artists can dissect and reflect absence as both creators and observers to ensure the possibility of transgression and transcendence in contemporary art.
