Co-organized by the Hong Kong Poetry Festival Foundation and the CUHK Faculty of Arts, this prestigious festival was founded by renowned poet Bei Dao in 2009 and has since grown into one of the world’s most influential poetry events.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the festival, themed “Margins of the Mother Tongue.” Professor Tang Xiaobing, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at CUHK, serves as the chief advisor, with Ms. He Yiting as the curator, and Professor Song Zijiang from the University of Toronto as the executive director.
The event will bring together acclaimed poets from across the globe for poetry readings, insightful dialogues, and musical performances. This gathering of voices from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds offers a unique opportunity for cross-cultural exchange.
