粵劇初邂逅：導賞講座與工作坊系列
 (First Encounter with Cantonese Opera: Introductory Talk and Workshop series)

 

香港中文大學（中大）音樂系中國音樂研究中心與中大敬文書院在2023年11月至2024年3月期間合辦「粵劇初邂逅：導賞講座與工作坊系列」*，旨在向中大學生、教職員和校友介紹粵劇文化、粵劇發展及藝術特色。

 

粵劇是中國表演文化藝術的瑰寶。是次節目邀請到一位專業粵劇演員兼資深編劇和製作人爲你導賞，讓你與粵劇有個愉快的邂逅。系列由「與你賞戲」導賞講座揭開序幕，透過三個折子戲的演出，示範造手、身段、唱腔、唸白和功架。

 

三個折子戲：
「紅鸞喜」（演員：羅雅禧）介紹長綢的用法及藝術特色
「蘆花蕩」（演員：朱兆壹）介紹馬鞭程式、寫意表演
「打金枝」（演員：鄺紫煌、吳嘉怡）介紹粵劇中生活化的表演

The Music Department’s Centre for Chinese Music Studies and CW Chu College, CUHK are jointly organising the First Encounter with Cantonese Opera: Introductory Talk and Workshop series （粵劇初邂逅 ：導賞講座與工作坊系列） * in the first and second terms of the school year. The aim is to introduce to university students and members of the CUHK community the culture of Cantonese opera, its development and artistic features.

The programmes below will be conducted in Cantonese. English translation of lyrics will be available for the Introductory Talk.

 

Introductory Talk: Appreciating Theatre Together (4 November 2023) 
「與你賞戲」導賞講座

 

Join us for a delightful journey to acquaint with the treasure of Cantonese opera, guided by a professional Cantonese opera performer who is also a playwright and a producer. 

Opening the series is an introductory talk “Appreciating Theatre Together”, which will present three excerpt performances: “Fairy Hongluan” 「紅鸞喜」 , “Lu Hua Dang” 「蘆花蕩」, and “Taming of the Princess” 「打金枝」, to demonstrate operatic gestures, body movements, singing, narrative speech and stage postures. 

English translation of lyrics of the three excerpts will also be available.

Cantonese Opera Workshop Series (January to March 2024)
「唱、做、唸」工作坊系列

A series of seven workshops will be held in early 2024 (from January to March). More details will be announced in due course. You are also encouraged to pre-register for these workshops via the same online registration form above (priority to university students and members of the CUHK community). Pre-registration for the workshops will be subject to availability of quotas and confirmation from the organiser via email by the end of 2023.
